Course Review Guidelines

Best practice advice straight from the source.. PDGA

You can help others find the best (and the worst courses) by doing some course reviews at the PDGA.com Course Directory listings.  How do you do reviews at PDGA.com?

First, you will need to be an online community member but there is no cost (and you do not need to be a current PDGA members to do this). If you don’t already have an account at PDGA.com please go to https://www.pdga.com/user/register to get started.

To do reviews, you just login and then pull up the course you want to review. Click on Reviews and then scroll down to “Submit Review”. Select the number of links and write some text about the course. Feel free to be brief or lengthy on the review. Some folks like a Pros, Cons and Added Notes format (the Added Notes can even include additional useful info about the area like …good food?….. lodging?).

Here are a couple of courses reviews (note “User 3”) if you want some ideas:

Review Basics:

  • Explain your rating with an objective, well-written review
  • Feel free to give a simple text style review or to use a “Pros, Cons and Added Notes” format.
  • Please keep the focus on the course, not other reviews.
  • Avoid “grade inflation,” as only the very best of courses deserves a “5.”

The goal here is not to get your home course the highest rating.. it is to help players find the right course experience.
